THE REHEARSAL AGREEMENT

Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: August 8, 2026 · Version 2026-08-08

These Terms govern access to BravoBuddy’s mobile app, website, invitations, and related beta services (the “Service”). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

A few important cues

  • Only an adult may create and be responsible for an account.
  • Upload and share only scripts, recordings, images, and other content you have permission to use.
  • BravoBuddy is a beta rehearsal aid—not a promise of performance results or uninterrupted availability.
  • You keep ownership of your content and give us only the rights needed to operate the Service.
  • Treat cast members and rehearsal buddies with care and respect.

1. Agreement to these Terms

You must agree to these Terms before using BravoBuddy. If you use the Service on behalf of a school, theatre company, organization, or another person, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility, children, and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract to create or control an account. A performer under 18 may use BravoBuddy only through an account established and supervised by a parent or legal guardian. The responsible adult controls what is uploaded, who is invited, and which permissions are enabled.

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account and for ensuring that anyone you invite understands how shared content will be used.

3. The BravoBuddy beta

BravoBuddy helps users import and organize scripts, hear spoken cues, practice lines, track rehearsal progress, and collaborate with invited cast members or rehearsal buddies. It is a rehearsal aid; it does not guarantee memorization, casting, performance outcomes, script accuracy, or availability of any particular feature.

The Service is currently in beta. It may contain errors, experience interruptions, produce imperfect script parsing, or change substantially. We may add, remove, limit, or redesign features and may impose reasonable usage, storage, or trial limits. During beta, some or all features may be offered without charge. We will disclose applicable pricing and obtain authorization before charging for a paid feature.

4. Your content and permissions

“Your Content” includes scripts, PDFs, pasted text, photos, character information, edits, audio, recordings, song information, names, and other material you submit or create. You retain ownership of Your Content. BravoBuddy does not acquire ownership merely because you upload it.

You grant BravoBuddy a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, parse, transcode, reproduce, display, transmit, and make technical modifications to Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service. This license also allows us to make Your Content available to people you authorize. It ends when Your Content is deleted from active systems, subject to shared-content continuity, backups, legal retention, and the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have all rights and permissions necessary to upload, record, use, and share Your Content. Scripts, music, recordings, photographs, character likenesses, and performances may be protected by copyright, contract, publicity, or privacy rights. Buying or receiving a script does not always grant digital copying or sharing rights. You—not BravoBuddy—are responsible for obtaining permission from authors, publishers, licensors, performers, parents or guardians, and other rights holders.

5. Productions, invitations, and recordings

A production owner, director, or editor may invite people, assign roles, edit shared content, and manage access. Show cast members may receive the full shared script and other production content. Rehearsal buddies receive only assigned cue lines and do not join the full show. Access depends on the invitation and role selected, but recipients may independently save or disclose material they can view. Invite only trusted people and remove access when it is no longer appropriate.

When you contribute a recording, you authorize its playback to the audience selected by the feature—for example, the show cast or one performer’s private rehearsal. Do not record another person without their knowledge and any consent required by law.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to break the law; infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights; upload material you are not allowed to use; harass, exploit, threaten, or impersonate anyone; expose a child to inappropriate contact or content; distribute malware or harmful code; probe or bypass security or access controls; access another account without permission; scrape, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service except where law expressly permits; send spam; or use BravoBuddy to develop or train a competing product without written permission.

We may investigate suspected misuse and remove content, limit features, revoke invitations, suspend access, or cooperate with lawful requests when reasonably necessary to protect users, rights holders, and the Service.

7. BravoBuddy materials

The Service, including its software, design, branding, interfaces, and original content, is owned by or licensed to BravoBuddy and protected by applicable laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended rehearsal purposes. “BravoBuddy” and associated branding may not be used to imply sponsorship or endorsement without permission.

8. Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. The Service relies on third-party platforms and services, including app stores, authentication providers, speech and notification services, and cloud infrastructure. Their terms and privacy policies may also apply. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

9. Suspension, deletion, and ending use

You may stop using BravoBuddy at any time. Production owners can delete productions; members can leave shared productions; and account deletion is available in Settings. Deleting an account permanently prevents sign-in, removes identifying profile information and contributed voice clips, and may preserve anonymized shared-production or usage records as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, prolonged service closure, nonpayment of a future paid feature, or material or repeated violations of these Terms. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the beta Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” BravoBuddy disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that imported or generated script text, cues, speech recognition, progress indicators, or other output will be accurate. Always check rehearsal material against an authorized script.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BravoBuddy and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, content, profits, opportunities, goodwill, or performances arising from the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid BravoBuddy for the Service during the 12 months before the claim or US $100.

These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Resolving issues and applicable law

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the Service operator, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes. A specific governing-law and venue provision may be added when BravoBuddy’s operating entity and principal location are finalized.

13. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update these Terms as the beta develops. We will post the revised Terms, change the version or effective date, and provide additional notice or request renewed acceptance when a material change requires it. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and BravoBuddy regarding the Service unless additional written terms apply.

14. Contact us

Questions, legal notices, or copyright concerns can be sent to contact@cleverpixel.com. Include enough detail for us to understand the request, but do not email passwords or unnecessary sensitive content.
